2- I have dandruff in my scalp

Dandruff can appear for many reasons: stress, fatigue, hormonal imbalance, wearing a helmet, but also unsuitable shampoo, aggressive styling products (gel, hairspray, etc.), coloring, perming, straightening.
Thin and dry, they are usually characterized by itching and tightness. “In this situation, the used shampoo is undoubtedly too detergent and not nourishing enough. It is preferable to change for a softer formula, enriched with vegetable oils, rather in the form of cream shampoo and without sulfates”, advises Emmanuelle Grollet, a biologist specialized in cosmetic formulation.
Oily and larger, they are linked to a yeast, Malassezia furfur, which proliferates, accelerates desquamation, and causes itching. “Yellow and thicker scales will appear, because they are stuck between them by the sebum, and they cling to the scalp. A soft anti-dandruff shampoo is going to limit the proliferation and the desquamation without aggressing it”, continues the expert. If the problem persists for more than 3 or 4 weeks, we consult a dermatologist, in order not to miss a pathology such as seborrheic dermatitis or psoriasis.
