1. Take on small challenges
To change an attitude that you have, you have to practice acting differently. In the case of shyness, we could be more assertive in a situation that normally makes us melt or run away. When meeting someone: say hello by looking the person in the eyes, smile, make a comment about the weather (have a light conversation), etc. The important thing is to accumulate small victories. Think of it this way: every time you experience success, your brain registers it and prepares for another one. Another challenge: extend an invitation!
