You’re invited to a party and it terrifies you! One solution is to be busy: you do a favor, you do something. By doing something, you have less time to think about your discomfort. Remember the person who helps clear the table is always appreciated.
11. Ideas in the pocket
I don’t believe in this one as much, but here it is anyway: write down ideas for conversation topics on two or three cards. This will help if you’re worried about having nothing to say.
