4- Purple or blue
Purplish nails are not caused by hematoma, they can reveal a circulatory problem or heart failure. They are a sign of poor blood circulation, so the fingers must be warmed up.
5- Bulging nails
This “watch glass” shape is hereditary so you don’t have to worry. But they can develop suddenly and be a sign of lack of oxygen in the blood. Spoon-shaped nails (which dig into the center), maybe due to hypothyroidism or heart disease.
Consult a doctor if your nails have been bulging for a short time.
